Life can sometimes get hard. I understand how this feels, with a great deal of life, work and family experience. I listen with empathy and will never judge your thoughts. They’re just thoughts, after all - and we can change them. I want to help you live the life you want.

You might be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or have trouble with emotions or intrusive thoughts. I specialise in anger management and have helped many people find peace. I have also trained extensively with grief and bereavement, including pet loss. You might only want someone to talk to and get things off your chest. I’m a safe place to do that with complete confidentiality. Sometimes it’s nice to talk to a third party, someone who is impartial. I am creative and will try different ways for you to find relief.

The things you believe about yourself may be holding you back. We can rewrite how you see life, get to the core of your negative thoughts and change it. Imposter syndrome is very real and can cause us to feel like we aren’t good enough. This is the life you have. Don’t let how you see yourself stop you from living it. You are as worthy of a happy life as everyone else. I have helped many people shake off their fears, get out of depression and find peace instead of anger. I’d love to help you get on top of your mental health, regulate emotions, lose your fears, lose weight with releasing trauma, work on anger management and live fully.

My approach

My focus is to help you live your best life. However that looks to you.

I can help you find answers within yourself and new ways to change life patterns that aren’t working. Do you have past trauma affecting you today? Are you struggling with a loss? Or do you get angry easily, and want to control outbursts? Maybe you want to live out from under the shadow of anxiety, social or internal. Sometimes you might feel you can’t get out of bed in the morning and life feels hopeless. It isn’t.

We can work together for change.

I provide a safe and comfortable space to talk and be truly heard without judgement or blame. Once we unravel your life story, we can work with past trauma and the hold it might have on you. You’ll find new ways of coping. I help you shift ‘stuck’ thoughts of your life story that hurt, things that get in the way of being able to live the way you want to live.

No referral is required. You have complete confidentiality. I am open Saturdays and some evenings if you have work commitments.

To maintain safety and ethical standards, I work under the guidance of a clinical supervisor. I am also listed as a current member on the National Register of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (PACFA) . I offer a hybrid therapy model with experience in a broad range of counselling styles. I find that the best results come from a flexible blending of techniques. Counselling modes I work with include, but are not limited to:

My office is conveniently located in a private room at 2/100 Cameron St, Launceston, Tasmania.
